	The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few. Where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe. And where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

	Welcome to the Highgate Branch Labour Party. As of 1^st January 2006 the Branch is now solely a member of Holborn & St. Pancras CLP. The Branch is no longer split between the two constituencies of Hampstead & Highgate and Holborn & St. Pancras CLPs. This change has occurred in preparation for the constituency boundary changes which will be enforced at the next general election as recommended by the Boundary Commission. (To read more about this, you may do so here.) It should be iterated here that this change has only taken place within the Labour Party itself. The Branch will continue to be represented by Glenda Jackson (MP for Hampstead & Highgate) and Frank Dobson (MP for Holborn & St. Pancras) until Parliament is dissolved before the next general election which is expected in May 2010.
